The Port of Piraeus is the largest Greek seaport and one of the biggest in the Mediterranean Sea and Europe. Acropolis, the most magnificent temple of the ancient world, stands high above modern Athens as a symbol of the city’s former glory. Acropolis Museum is focused on the findings of the archaeological site of the Acropolis and was built to house every artifact found on the rock and on the surrounding slopes. Of great historical importance is also Temple of Poseidon at Cape Sounion, as one of the major monuments of the Golden Age of Athens, built at height of almost 60 meters.
