Seaway established its operations in 1976, is a leading tourist & shipping agency company, specialising in handling cruise vessels with large number of passengers, on a daily basis in all the Greek ports. Our head offices are in Piraeus, opposite the main passenger terminal and we have branch offices at all the Greek ports. All offices are manned with most experienced personnel.
Mr. Dionysios S. Georghiou, founder and owner of Seaway, has been in the shipping business since 1954, and is one of the most experienced and respectful people in the field.
Among others we act as General port agents in all the Greek ports for Carnival UK, P&O Cruises / Cunard Lines, Carnival Maritime, Costa Crociere, AIDA Cruises & Mano Maritime. You may receive references for us, from operations departments of all the above mentioned companies.
We are the first and only company in Greece, that managed after long preparations and negotiations with the Greek authorities, to establish weekly passengers exchange operation of a non Greek flag cruise ship in a Greek port. More specifically AIDA vessels, performed successfully passengers exchange operation every Friday in Heraklion from May 2002 to October 2009. Following the AIDA model, we have also established the same operation for the Ocean Village from 2007 to 2010.
Since then we regularly operate turn around operations in Piraeus with Cunard and with Costa ships.
Being a family company gives us the flexibility to grant personal care and attention to our clients and operations. Ieronymos Georghiou, CEO of the company since 1996, he is in charge of the day to day operations and he is always accessible and ready to deal immediately and resolve any issue may arise in any of our ports.
Our skilled Piraeus head office team operates in a highly professional level and guarantees the efficient management of our vessels. We also have excellent coordination with our branch managers and staff, the impact of which is directly received by our ships and passengers.
Our strong financial standing and creditability enable us to cover all expenses occurred, and support or fund any operation required.
Our shore excursions and land operations department organizes passengers’ tours for many of our vessels on a daily basis. We also efficiently support any crew movement operation, i.e. visas, hotel accommodations, transfers, formalities etc. Our experienced staff is always ready to offer their services together with our port operations department.
Our concept and policy is to offer top quality services at the most competitive prices, enabling our principles to maximise annual savings. We may achieve that through our special agreements with all associates involved i.e. tug-boat companies, tender boats owners, porters, mooring-men etc.
